There is a much more important side to this than deciding whether to enter a blitz. Often the master's event has an optional side pool and often it fills up through the day. Looking at how the play has gone so far can determine if the side pool is a good option. For example suppose that of the top half of the bracket that nearly all who entered the side pool lost. Side pool is a great bet then as you would have a good chance of just needing to reach the finals in oprder to win it.
