My equity would have probably been higher if I had insisted on a random draw. Neil is probably a better player than I, but I still don't like to rate myself as an underdog vs. anyone. And I come to these events to play backgammon and to win. Neil did have a conflict of interest going into it; I didn't know that the TDs initially asked Neil to propose a solution. As far as I knew, it was what the TDs had come up with independently. I would have preferred if they asked UBK or someone who didn't have as much of an interest in the outcome of the game.

I like Neil's proposed solution better than the 1 pointers, although that gives Neil the highest equity of all.
