In Response To: Adam's Cube Decision vs. UBK (Coolrey)

I am an intermediate/advanced-level player with relatively little tournament experience, I was playing in my first open event, and I was in the money round against the hottest player in the world. So I was nervous and missed a series of doubles. It seemed to me while I was rolling the prime in that the volatility was low and that Bob had a take based on the score and the likelihood that I would blot while his board was good. Oops.

However, I'm pretty sure I wasn't "psychologically devastated" when I rolled a bad number. If some folks don't believe that I was taking the redouble from the roof, that's their privilege. I suppose we'll never know for sure (although I think I know).

Thanks for the good wishes, Ray--see you in Peoria!
