My two cents on clocks goes like this. I don't mind them, but would just as soon not play with one. However, the rules and time limits for clocks have been painstakingly been established by directors the world over. I have seen many comments by people who advocate using clocks for every event, but they would like to see the time limit increased. Then they go on to say that they have little or no experience with the clocks, so, umm... ???

Time limits as they stand are uniform and fair. It will increase your comfort level if the time is increased whether it is time per point or seconds elapsed before the time starts counting down. Everyone cocks dice a few times a match or rolls one off the table, often the clock is paused at those times. Don't ask for increases if you have never lost a match on time under the current limits... It just slows down the event for EVERYONE else to make you more comfy. Clocks don't make you comfy, they make you PLAY.
