FIRST OFF: this is a BAD problem. The absolute pipcounts for both sides is irrelevant. The point of this thread is to prepare for clocked BG, which necessitates finding some OTHER way than counting both absolute pip counts. If you are still trying to do that, you are going to be short on time.
Having said that:
The outfields are equal except for his blot on the 10 point, I am UP 10.
His two back men are 3 pips retarded from mine, I am UP 13.
I lose 18 on the 6 point, I am DOWN 5.
I lose 2 more comparing his 3 point to my 4 point, I am DOWN 7.
I gain 2 because he has two on his ace, while I have none. I am DOWN 5.
Based on this information, and my anchor I know he can't possibly have a double, and if he does it is an easy take. I might even beaver in a money game. I can't double because I am behind... but the race is close and next time someone tosses a big set he may have a double.
The only other thing that is relevant, is the leader's pip count.... but I don't need that until the difference becomes around 10 pips or so... So I won't even do that yet. Why waste the energy and the TIME?
