Difference first:

I use shift method: Blue is: +3 (shift white back checkers to 21 pt) -10 (shift 2 blue from 6 to 1) -2 (shift 2 blue from 4 to 3) +4 (shift white from 10 to 6) = -5

For absolute, I count one side - blue looks easier (less points occupied):

15 crossovers * 6 = 90 + 10 (checkers on 6 and 4) + 10 (checkers on 6 and 4) + 18 (3 checkers on 6) + 6 (3 checkers on 8) + 3 (3 checkers on 13) + 6 (2 chekers on 21) = 143

took about a minute.
