People's brains work differently, especially when it comes to math. Trust me on this...learn what method works best for you..but keep in mind.

1) Total absolute count matters less than 5% of the time.

2) Read 1

3) Read 1

4) Cluster count to some extent and use comparisons.

5) With comparisons in mind, learn to just add or subtract multiple of 13 for checkers on the mid points. (if for some reason you need the total count, go back and add y x 13 for y checkers on mid for guy with fewest there)

6) Read 4 and 5

7) Cluster count.

8) Comparison count.
