3ply checker play instead of 2ply ..

Cube at 3ply evaluation argue with pass. This is nice example that 3ply for checker play and cube decision is better than 2ply in holding games (or even mutual holding games), but what's about priming games (I am specially interested in your opinion here), blitzes, containment (which is one of the gnubg weakness), running game and especially bearin and bearoff?
