As for my unsolicited 2c, I would recommend that people get gnu and use it, and stop using Snowie. Snowie I use to enter positions more quickly, as using gnu you have to start a new match play a couple of turns and then edit the position.
Rolling out simultaneously is HUGE, and checker play according to score it huge. Also, Gnu's eval feature is more accurate, imho. All kinds of Snowie positions roll out different from it's evaluations, not so many of Gnu's.
However, Gnu is brutal in it's match analysis, so you have to have thick skin. And you have to be willing to work to get to know it, but hey, it's free!
