My play, GNU's play, Chuck's play

I guess one could/should consider 21/18, but (IMO) not for very long. So the play is on Blue's side. I see four candidates:

8/4*,

7/4*/3,

5(2),

6/3, 8/7.

Two hitting plays; two pure plays; two impure plays. Intersections: one hitting and pure, one hitting and impure, one non-hitting and pure, one non-hitting and impure.

Trailing in the game and with a lot of game to go, impure (burner) plays just don't seem even close to me. So it's either 5(2) or 8/4*. Both plays leave a direct (11/36) on the homeside. Making the 5-point looks nice but that point won't likely come into play for a while (if ever). Hitting has a chance to put the hurt on opp now while starting the future point. I'll go with that.

8/4* -- the real "Chuck's play".
