The problem is lack of simultaneity, since this is a forum and not in person. Without this caveat, I'm open to the angle of someone only accepting the bet if something big happens that favors McCain in the next 24 hours. If that does, the angler can accept the bet. Otherwise, he lets it go.

Since we both seem to be here reviewing the forum now, I'll accept the bet without that precondition if accepted within the next five minutes, as given by the forum time stamps.

Otherwise, never mind. Carry on as you like.
