All looks pretty clear to me, David bets that a democrat will win, Bill bets that a republican will win. David is only caveating that there is no major announcement that decides the election (or puts a massive swing on it) whilst you two are bickering over the terms of the bet.

Personally, I like that you two are willing to put your money where your mouth is, and hope to see an agreement. If you are going to believe in a cause, then you may as well go at it 100%. I like that kind of commitment to a cause.

Its making for fun reading.
