So the other day I wake up to see roughly 8,023,000 new msgs on my forums and it's all one thread! WTF!? It's this thread, and I happily bow out as I'm beyond ignorant on most political subjects and couldn't care less for the most part.

First I'd like to note as I have in the past that anyone (yes, even Bill) can post whatever the fuck they want on these forums. If I don't like it, I'll delete it, and that'll be the end of that. I don't think I've ever deleted an actual post on these forums because of content.

Secondly, these are still backgammon forums, so please, if you are posting something about politics, religion, poker, or expired moth balls try to include that information in the subject line so those that come here for backgammon only can skip these threads if they like with ease.

As you've probably noticed a fair few who come to these forums are foreigners where English is not their native language. They do one hell of a job writing & understanding us - I can tell you it's no picnic trying to communicate in a language that isn't your native tongue. This is the main reason I'd prefer properly entitled threads, so they don't waste X minutes trying to figure out what the hell it is they're reading about only to find it's a poker bad beat story or that I was out bombed all weekend.

This thread hit a sensitive spot for some people and not that this place could ever become what is the downtrodden RGB but it did make me think of it. Be respectful of other ppl and remember you're arguing with someone online, there are no winners and don't take shit personally unless you know them personally. Everyone here has learned to ignore me when I call them a fuckin' donk, you know it's harmless fun, that I'm joking (cept DC-Ohio, seriously, HOPELESS BE-DONK-A-DONK when it comes to NLHE), but it's hard to tell when someone else is seriously offended or poking fun.

Someone referred to Bill as "xenophobic" (see how you're pissing off the non English speakers, guarantee they were at wordreference.com on that one, hell, half the English speakers were probably at dictionary.com) I would say I'd never put this word to Bill's name from knowing him IRL.

The problem as I see it is Bill says he has no real problem with anyone from anywhere as long as g they follow certain standards of civility, decency, and respect. What Bill finds decent, respectful, civil may not be what another culture does. I know what he means to mean though. (btw, I wouldn't add *candor* to that list, too many ppl, esp. ppl you don't know personally, can't accept candor - they become automatically defensive in my opinion when your *candor* rubs them the wrong way)

Have you seen him attempt to speak extemporaneously?

Is that 7 syllables? You're going to have to dumb things down for me a bit next time. Someone else also mentioned there hasn't been a lot of Bush bashing on this site which I thought at one point I thoroughly did :) [you were speaking of Obama in the above quote] Bush can't speak himself with a planned out speech, nevertheless otherwise, I don't know why we'd expect more of our next pres.

Giant Douche or Turd Sandwich? Click on Season 8 and then episode #8 (808). I doubt many if any of you watch South Park but in this episode it gets to the root of what I find most elections to be, an all out war between a Giant Douche & a Turd Sandwich.
