As far as I understand, HDMI can carry audio too, but without the audio component is about as good as DVI (perhaps even inferior). I have also read reports of people having problems using the HDMI out ports on lots of different hardware, with very varying results - mostly drivers based.

Personally, I would get DVI - does your video card even have HDMI output?

Also, if you want some real estate...This is da man!
