Well, for 2500, I put together:

Q9300 2.5Ghz 8 GB DDR2 800 *Geforce 9800 GX2 <--- (highest priced item @ ~500) 24" BenQ LCD *1000W Power supply w/ full tower case (~300) 2x500 GB SATA HDD DVD-RW *G15 gaming keyboard *Razer Copperhead gaming mouse Vista 64 bit

Now, the items with a * I bought specifically for online gaming, which you probably don't need, and those items were at least ~1k of the 2500 I spent. Now, if I wanted to buy the exact same system I built preassembled, Dell, HP, and Gateway customizers all put me around the $4500-5000 mark.

If you can't find something better cheaper than that preassembled, just let me know what you want to spend, I'll put a part list together, buy it online at newegg, zipzoom, or tiger, and have it shipped to me. I'll put it together and either ship it to you or we can meet outside of indy. Once you get past 1k or so, it's way cheaper to build then it is to buy. I can't compete on any systems < 1k though.
