David: The bailout is a terrible mistake.

I was somewhat on the fence about the bailout (whether or not it should happen), but after thinking it through and the economic implications of not doing it, I have decided that I am firmly on board with the bailout.

If we simply let the market crash (or correct itself), then the implications are simply too far reaching. The jobs, stability, the economic impact are just too much for me to agree to. The fallout would be horrific, and very long lasting I suspect. Its not just the US that would have a massive problem, its all the smaller countries that rely on the US economy.

So, I am on board.
