Chuck writes: As you were alluding to, there is an election in six weeks and ALL US House seats are open. Interesting how that affects the voting

All House seats are open, but most seats are safe. In the House vote earlier this week, incumbents in both parties in tight races for re-election were much more likely to have voted against the bill than their colleagues in safe seats.
