We could argue all days on taxes and tax structure and neither would convince the other of anything.

I only seek personal responsibility and some measure of fairness. I think the entitlement mentality is all too pervasive in our society. Unfortunately, all too many seek all too much from the government (i.e., their productive fellow citizens) and want the good life and every protection/guarantee from cradle to grave with no responsibility of any sort of their own.

As I said earlier, citizenship comes with responsibilities. Everyone is this country has adequate opportunities to get a good, if not great, education and make something of themselves. Should they choose not to do so, I don't think it should be the problem of those that do so choose.
