I believe that the best reply to an opening 43D with 44 is B [24-20(2), 13-9(2)] for money. And, I believe that against 54D it is 24-16*, 13-9(2) [I don't know the Nactation for this]. Please correct me if either of these are wrong.

This is correct, AFAIK. The Nactation can be 54D 44D. Had an interesting discussion with Nack about Nactation, potential ambiguities and how those can be resolved through the use of upper & lower case and adopting certain rules.

I believe that the return shots with aces are enough to swing it to 44B after 43D, although I would still like to see a rollout for 54D 44.
