Bill's method is pretty much the same as what I have used for the short movies that my digital camera will take. A key element if you're gonna record a lot is a quality tripod that is the right size for the job. It seems to work best @ tournaments to have the tripod on the table next to the board, but you want the legs to extend out circumferentially wide enough to be stable and yet not so big as to take up a lot of table space. If you don't have a tripod yet, or yours is really large, you may want to experiment with some @ the camera store.

For single position pics, I don't usually bother to download, just read them off the camera's screen, but if I had a lot, I would dl them too.
