Specifically, what if the rules were changed so that doubles would only give you two moves instead of four?

it was my idea when first begin to backgammon and see luck factor is huge.. i said severel organizations and organizator about the new idea lets produce a new game may be it would be famous in future and ppl play this except the orjinal one.. but noone insist on the idea

yes i agree with you.. dbls are the biggest factor for luck, if a player play dbls 2 times except 4, it takes much time more contact positions and skill will be adjusted
