point well taken -- it is a good refinement for the mechanics of the game; puts a lot of those employing shenanigans out of business

but it is also a great improvement to speed up the extremely slow players

as you say, you have never won or lost a match on time -- neither have I; but some players will take 4-5 hours for a 7 or 9 point match if you let them; it is terrible for tournament schedules and just takes a lot of the enjoyment out of the game for many
