the in frequency of doublets is recognized by making the count twice as much. the game of Monoply recognizes this inequality by giving the roller a second, then a third (if another set of doublets is rolled). i'd often wondered what this rule would do for bg. doublets are not always lucky --- the opponent opens with a 31, you answer with 55, he rolls 42 and you roll yet another set of 5s --- ad infinitum.
