In Response To: Is 3-ply GNU-bg's best backgame player? (Mislav Radica)

Matt's currently rolling out positions from Advanced Backgammon. When he gets to problems 163-200, we'll have 41 backgame positions for which we can compare evaluations (Chuck's question) to however many rollouts with different settings might be run for the problems.

Of particular interest, perhaps, are:

165BR says D/P, BT says ND/T
169BR hits none, Snowie eval hits 4, Snowie rollout hits none
170BR says ND/Take (no beaver), BT says ND/Beaver
171BR says D/P, BT says D/T
177CBR says D/T, BT says ND
178BR says D/P, BT says D/T
185BR says bar/22, CBR says bar/23, and Trice wrote about it in Chicago Point Sept. 1992.
188BR says 6/2 6/3, CBR says 24/17, my Gnubg 2-ply rollout says 5/1 5/2
198BR says D/T, CBR says No Redouble
199BBR says D/P, CBR says No Redouble

BR = Bill Robertie, BT = Backgammon Today with Snowie rollouts, CBR = Classic Backgammon Revisited with Snowie rollouts
