Dont sweat the board, there should be loads of people there with their own.

Also, relax, take it easy, enter some side events, and dont be intimidated by anyone you play against - they are all just bg players. Make sure you meet lots of people, and have a good time.

I would also recommend taking at least $500 more than you were planning on. These weekends are never cheap (unless you win!). Last thing - the chouettes that start up are lots of fun to be involved in, and almost as much fun just to watch.

Technical tip: get your board up, get some practice counting the races, that is perhaps one of the most invaluable skills.
