In Response To: Why Are TD's So Resistant? (Jason Lee)

I would need to play many more matches at all these time controls to have a better feel for them. But 2/15 seems substantially longer than 2/12. I think I would prefer 2/15 to 2/12 in ABT events, but it's not a huge deal to me. 2.5/15 is probably plenty of time, although a setting like 4/18 will pretty much guarantee that you don't run out of time.

I am not sure. By far the most common response I get at local tourneys is "it's not necessary, I play fast". I have gotten this even from the people who then agreed to play with a clock. Most don't seem to know what the time controls are or how they work or whether they are fast or slow. I would say in most cases I have been explaining Bronstein delay TCs.
