Why Are TD's So Resistant?

I agree, and I don't think BG should be played at chess speeds.

Here's an idea: a TD could run a mandatory clocked tourney where there is no penalty for running out of time. The TD would need to supply the clocks in that case, and so could either bite the bullet or have slightly less return on some events.
