In Response To: Why Are TD's So Resistant? (Matt Cohn-Geier)

In 12 years of live backgammon, I've never met a slow player...according to him/herself.

Seriously, most slow players don't realize they're slow. There's a big difference between how quickly time passes when you're thinking hard about Important Stuff, and how quickly it passes when you're waiting for the other guy to hurry up and make a decision already.

I've fielded complaints of slow play from players who were playing even more slowly than their opponents!
