Just change the TC to 2/15 and get it over with

Matt: In a 5-point match, 2/12 is somewhat speedy
Ray: You have posted 50 times the number of comments on clocks than you have actually played matches with clocks. Usually you state that you would like for the time limit to be longer. I don't think anyone who has played less than 10 clocked matches should have an opinion that counts. Some people worked hard and LONG coming up with the current limits which are quite quite reasonable. PLAY some matches before advocating different time limits because as you say yourself:
Again, I would need to play many more matches than I actually will in the next year to get a better feel for this, but here are my observations so far:
This goes for everyone who has limited experience using the clocks. It's okay to have an opinion but TDs reading these posts by "clock rookies" would get the general impression that clocks are not popular because they always run out on you or make you play at an uncomfortably fast pace. The real reason people don't want to use clocks is that people RESIST CHANGE.
TDs don't have to fix anything that is NOT broken. Just institute clocks, when any player requests it. Slow players won't like it, because they will have to speed up, but they WILL speed up and the tournament will be healthier as a result!
Aged and handicapped should have a longer per move allotment than I do, or Neil does, or Matt does. Nobody liked to see Larry Liebster lose on a clock in Peoria, especially Larry, and he is physically slower than I am... So if he gets 15 instead of 12 seconds delay, that is 25% longer. FINE, he is more than 50% older.
Does anyone know if the clock parameters can be set to 2/12 for me and 2/15 for my opponent? I don't know the answer because I don't have a clock.
