I'm totally confused.

Larry lost with 3 checkers left in the bearoff? He had to be playing only on the buffer. And you can't make a successful roll and pick up two checkers in 12 seconds? Was it a 'decision' play where he would only have one remaining roll and he was trying to maximize probility? But, nonetheless, if you know you're in the time bind, just pick up your best guess.

If it was a foregone conclusion that he would win then shame on the opponent for not conceding the match anyway.

Ray is lobbying to give Larry more time because he's old, etc. and then, in his next post, talks of how Larry just fucked up.

It's one thing to argue for extra time because of age, but because he fucked up !!? Give me a break.
