Just change the TC to 2/15 and get it over with

Hypothetical scenario:
World-class, famous backgammon player A has an accident or illness that leaves him unable to use his arms, but his mental faculties are intact.
Player A wants to continue to play tournament backgammon.
What if player A could have somebody, say, Surrogate B, roll the dice, move the checkers only on the direction of player A, and punch the clock for player A.
Would any tournament director prohibit this?
Perhaps an extra three seconds of delay time could be given to account for the translation of command from A to hearing and processing command of B, but this extra time is available to the other player as well.
Things would slow down just a teeny bit, but we make reasonable accommodations all the time. Physically handicapped people board first on flights. It takes a little longer at the bus stop if you have to get a wheelchair bound person onto a bus. Etc.
