In Las Vegas the Calcutta Auction starts at 11 am Thursday. It is usually over by 12:30 or 1:00 pm, at the latest. The Championship Division matches don't start until 2 pm, Intermediate at 2:30. That seems like the perfect window. Most all players have attended the auction and have little or nothing to do until the matches start an hour or an hour and a half later.
