Crawford game

I am not really opposed to this, but realize that it is going to be complicated and unintuitive and you are going to have some very weird rulings on this matter in 2009 (e.g. where is the Crawford game).
There is no need to change the crawford rules, or make any adjustments. If I am 3-away and my opponent runs out of time, 2 points are added to my score and the game continues. It doesn't magically become the Crawford game in the middle of the game just because I am the first one to 1-away. If the cube had already been turned it stays where it is, if it is centered, both players have access, although the player who becomes 1-away basically has a dead cube.
As I see it, the most extreme example occurs @ Player A 3-away, Player B 2-away. If the A runs out of time, the score becomes A 1-away, B 2-away, and the B should cube to make the existing game DMP. A still has the ability to drop, taking the match to DMP and the start of a new game. Yes, the traditional Crawford game isn't played, but from my clock experience, I expect this situation will occur very rarely.
