Ten Things I Hate About the BG Experience

When you say "80% luck", do you mean that the outcome of any particular match is 80% random and only 20% based on skill? Is that opinion generally held among strong players?
Generally speaking, I believe I read or heard years back that world class player Kit Woolsey said his expectations are to win 60% of his matches. I inferred from this that 80% of the matches were a coin flip for a 40-40 split and that he'd win the remaining 20% by superior skill.
I don't think this viewpoint makes sense. What does it mean to win a dice game "by skill"? How do you intend to quantify "20% skill"?
Anyway, it would be interesting to see what other player's take on luck is. My general, non-scientific, non-logical, completely random saying is that any game with dice is 80% luck.
Again, as far as I can tell, "80% luck" is meaningless. Attempting to win a game of chance by not getting lucky is a bad idea.
In my view, skillful players give themselves more opportunities to get luckier than their opponents.
