I'm not sure I follow the decision-making here. If he passes, you are ahead 1-away/2-away Crawford. If he takes he's clearly the underdog, although gammons won't count for anyone anymore. I would turn the cube here and make him decide whether he wanted to try to win 2 in a row (assuming no gammon) or save this game from behind.
