I think the biggest problem with the 'pro clockers' having someone in charge is that even among all of us what is acceptable and what we're striving for are two different things. Neil, for instance, is happy having 2009 being a transitional year whereas I'd rather just stuff clocks down ppl's throats and get it over with. Chuck is doing some work that will show just how fast even the perceived deliberate people are and David Rockwell has taken an in depth look at how easy it would be for the vast majority of ppl to roll at 2-12.

I'm on board for whatever needs be but I also don't want to put a lot of time into it if it's going to peter out. I don't think I'm the best person for the job not having as much experience as others and being more rigid in my views than one probably should be trying to *negotiate*. I don't think it should be a negotiation, I think it should be a get it done, and that's why I'm useless.
