One more thing about no-shows

This issue isn't unique to my proposal.
At Pittsburgh this year I was on a 3-player team, or so I thought. Player A (one of the teammates) bought the team and I (player B) bought back from him, as is normal. After dinner player A came to me and asked how our third teammate (Player C) was doing. When we looked at the drawsheets we couldn't find his name -- turns out he never arrived! No announcement before, during, or after the Calcutta. I guess if we hadn't bothered looking for him (I suppose that's unlikely, but it could happen) there would have been no adjustment. I'm sure this was an accidental oversight on the part of the staff, but it did happen and we requested an adjustment.
Unfortunately by the time a settlement was reached it was even more rounds into the Ty, I was fading fast (by this time into the LC), and to make matters worse, my share of the team was re-adjusted to account for the fact that 2-player buybacks are different than 3-player buybacks. And I got my 'adjustment' (which was NEGATIVE!!) after I was out of the Calcutta money.
This isn't the first time I've seen a no-show auctioned off but it's the first time I've seen the tournament underway before it was discovered.
