Prize money distribution. The 9th place thing seems extremely confusing, especially since you are only paying out 7 other prizes, top 4 in main, top 2 in consolation, and LC winner. I would continue to use the 64 player field payouts used currently, I don't know the percentages, but Bill Davis or Rob Maier(Pittsburgh) should have them, as they paid those places for 64 player field in 2008.

I don't see a need to change the payouts whether you are using a progressive or non-progressive consolation.

Side events need to be played, as I believe this is how most TDs are able to break-even or a little better from the rake of Side Events. Tourney Staff need to enforce that regular tourney (main, conso, LC) matches take priority over all other events. If a player is playing in a side event and time comes for their next tourney match, the side event should be completed only to the end of the current game, and if the SE match is not complete, it is suspended @ score to be continued when both players are next available.

I don't have a problem with door prizes, as long as they are raffled in a timely manner.

Penalties for tardiness. I would use the existing penalty point system, 15 min late = 1 pt, each additional 5 min +1 pt. 35 min tardy would forfeit a 9 pt match.
