So how big of a dog could they be with a 50% chance of a 75% win chance? Or if you meant a big dog at the beginning of the game how is it relevant?

Now maybe it is the correct strategic decision and maybe it isn't. But justifying it with the above reasoning seems like a loser way of looking at it. Why not just try onside kicks every time?

Agree about BCS being a joke. For the OT rules I think one change would greatly limit the effect of the coin toss. Make it that for the first possession only the score must be a TD.
