I don't know if this is relevant to your question, but I'm pretty sure the current ABT points awarding doesn't even consider $ payouts EXCEPT that I think there has to be an actual $-payout. For example, If a 42 player field awards 2 in main, 2 in consolation, and 1 in LC, those five people (and no one else) receive ABT points but the number of points is based on an (exponential) formula and not on how much $ was actually awarded to those five.

Having said that, you can still say that the $ doesn't have to be divided m/l exponentially as I have done. Again, this is a detail which I don't think is critical to my proposed format.

BTW, I think Howard has 1st place main heavily loaded, typically. And take a look at the payout for last year's Party Gammon Million if you want an example of front-loaded payouts!
