Pittsburgh, etc.

I received a 'flier' from Rob Maier a couple days ago with the info for the Pitt Ty. There it states: Clock usage is encouraged for all events, assuming both players agree. So clocks-AND rules. (Go here and click on that Ty to download a .pdf flier: http://www.chicagopoint.com/calendar.html).
I think the tournaments which are going to use clocks-OR rules should have something in their fliers stating such. This is not a criticism of Rob. Fliers need to be made and sent out a few months in advance of the Ty and this clock discussion / forum is a very recent development. (In fact, as I write, apparently the forum hasn't even happened!)
Jeb (who runs the second Ty of the year) already had decided on clock-OR rules before this recent swell of pro-clock sentiment. I don't know what the plan is for the very early January New York (New Jersey :) event.
So although I agree that clocks-OR would be a fine idea for the 2009 ABT season, it may not be every Ty that participates.
