Is BGO an Elitist Society?

Well I was a lurker for a very long time.... (2 years?) I was mostly following positions, to learn through what I consider expert advise on strategic thinking about the game. It was sort of uncomfortable jumping in, when thats what you are doing.

It wasn't until Neil gave me a little advice in 1000Isl, that if you really want to learn using forum, just reading and following will only get you so far. You need to put it out there and risk getting it stepped on, before those tactical errors of thought will really sink in. (you will remember best corrections to your own "problems" or posts so much easier)

I've tried to be a little more active, but right now its still its mostly the "discussion" type threads. 1 big reason for that is when I'm normally online, a problem has been posted and there is already 5-10 answers, thoughts and often a roll-out on the play there when I do see them... I try to figure out my play most times first, but guess not enough discipline to answer before I read them..

Elitist NO, educational hell ya!
