My game was vs Vivek Rao, who was a computer analyst for my old firm. He was rated somewhere around 2576 then. He'd just moved to Chicago from Philly where he'd crushed all at the firm in speed chess with him getting 1 min vs opp's 5 min.

The brass in Philly was convinced he'd crush me also, but I told them otherwise, but knowing that they had the worse of it I refused their bets.

Anyhow after a complicated game, I mated him in the endgame with about a minute left on the clock and he having only several seconds.

1 min is really fast, but Vivek is really good, and when we later played some games with him having 2 min to my 5, I basically got owned.
