Next year it will not be a win twice situation for the championship. The one loss player will play the 0 loss player one match form an equal start for the tournamnet championship.

Art Benjamin brought this up during the pre-Calcutta pointing out how going 8-1 is just as impressive as going 6-0. I was asked my opinion as a mathematician also and I agreed of course with Art and added that Tom Keith had sone simulations showing the same. In fact the one loss player on average was actaully slightly better on average than the undefeated player in his simulations. Patrick polled the players and a good majority preferred to change it. So next year it will be changed.
