Effective Pip Count with stragglers

Using the formula, we have:

POSITION 1

X's EPC = 29 O's EPC = 3 * 3.5 + 23 - 4 = 10.5 + 23 - 4 = 29.5

That would be a marginal double/clear take.

POSITION 2

X's EPC = 36 O's EPC = 7 * 3.5 + 13 = 24.5 + 13 = 37.5

That would be a double/take.

Am I using the formula correctly? I think threshold for taking is being down by 3 in the EPCs. Do I remember well?
