The stated score was 3-away, 1-away POST Crawford.

And yes, there is no free drop at this score with perfect play. But that does not prevent someone from making a bonehead drop anyway.

I played a 5 point match with someone the other day and they took two consecutive "free" drops. I'm pretty sure that no matter how confused you are, it is never right to do that. And, it is worth mentioning that the first free drop was correct (and I told him so at the time). He still dropped the next game on the second roll.

This was a strong intermediate player, not some newbee. Dementia can set in at any time. Don't let it happen to you.
