GABBI Thoughts?

With GABBI however an image is created and you can link to and it will load on this site. That means should that site ever be taken down all of those links/images would cease to work. If someone later tried to reference positions in old posts there would then be no diagram.

That's not that hard to fix. Off the top of my head, a simple edit to the current message posting form to include a field allowing the user to browse for the file on their hard drive and upload it to your space would take care of any off site worries. On Simon's end, he may be able to edit the Gabbi form to upload to your space instead.

For other dead image links, that could be fixed site-wide with a search and replace script or possibly via your .htaccess file.

Since the board is linked off site it takes a second longer to load.

Specify the height and width in the img tag and that should speed it up.

My main suggestion regarding Gabbi is that I would prefer some sort of text output allowing the user to select and copy the GNU position and match ids. That is not possible to do with an image file such as a png.

PS: If you worry about any images hosted on my space, let me know and I can add a radio button to specify Bgonline.org or something like that, so that the code outputs the images via relative urls to your specified directory. The only issue is that I must be absolutely sure that you have all the images under the same names which are referenced in the script. However, if need be, I can send you my board image file.
