Not to single you out because this happens often, but just a general suggestion for all who post problems here: post the position without comment. You can always comment a day (or so) later after you get responses. When you give information you aren't getting unbiased answers from the respondents. In my case, I almost never respond to problems if there is information such as what you have given.
In real backgammon you don't have anyone making comments over your shoulder as you're trying to make your decsion. (Well, hopefully not. :) Problems presented here are best enjoyed (and provide the maximum learning power, IMO) when they are as close to real backgammon as possible.
