With this in mind, I take back my 5% GWC or more comment, but I still go for it. Making the 1/2 yard has so much to gain, and if you then score the TD, the opps have less time and need their own TD. If you end up kicking a FG later, you've eaten clock, if you fail to make the 1/2 yard, you've given the opps the ball on their 10 yard line and hopefully this "good" defence of your's holds them and then your offence gets the ball back and the game isn't hopeless by any means.
