Unless I'm misinterpreting what he said, DC's entire quote can go both ways...

they had already turned the ball over 3 times inside the 20. If you don't score here, you may not score the rest of the game

So you're saying if they don't take the field goal now to tie the game we're likely to never have the chance to score again, in which case we lose either way. Still argues for going for 6.
